Carol Kay-Bradley – Lead Vocals

Carol’s lifelong love affair with soul music has its origins in childhood journeys with her family, listening on the car radio to the classics by artists such as Martha & the Vandellas, Aretha Franklin and Curtis Mayfield. In her teens she idolised Ella Fitzgerald and started singing jazz at concerts with her multi-instrumentalist father. Carol has subsequently performed many times at festivals including Boomtown, Secret Garden and Glastonbury.

Carol plays guitar, piano and violin and has a degree in Music Performance from Northbrook College and a diploma from Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM).

But above all, when you see Carol onstage, partnering Danny and backed by her fellow musicians, it’s all about her performance. This girl has soul to spare. Little wonder she cites Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Shirley Brown and Amy Winehouse as big influences.
